About us…

I started PeriodPower Panty in 2019 after my personal need of menstrual products. My house had flooded for the second in a two year span. I was so blessed to have a wonderful community to support my family both times. However, the one product that I needed was menstrual products. Menstrual periods are SO untimely and inconvenient. I did not expect my period to adapt to my life-altering experience.

Since I live where hurricanes predominately occur, I wanted to make sure female hurricane victims have the supplies they need in their vulnerable time.

After further research, I found that period poverty is a public health issues in the United States. I was sure I read this wrong. How can period poverty be an issue in the U.S? As a registered nurse, I was determined to help in any way I can. I continued to make period packs to distributed the packs to schools, women shelters, and prisons. My distribution grew outside of Southeast Texas and expanded to the Houston and Louisiana areas.

We are currently growing and defining our way to become an active organization in our local and state legislatures. We have partnered with local, state, national, and international organizations to learn, grow, and educate on menstruation matters.

We are excited to see where 2022 takes us. We are excited to see how many lives we can support. We are here for women. We are here to give women the gift of a fresh start.

Our vision is to create a world where menstruation holds no one back. We fight for menstrual freedom. We fight for those who bleed.

Build it.

At PeriodPower Pantry, we collect donated menstrual products (tampons and pads) as well as hygiene products (body wipes, deodorant, hand sanitizer) that ladies need during their period. We assemble these packs and add a motivational quote to help girls and females know that they are not alone and they are powerful women in charge of their lives!
